Service Beyond Bars Working Group

May 2024 - January 2025

This project was funded by a Public Scholarship Fellowship at the University of Chicago’s Martin Marty Center for the Public Understanding of Religion.

My Work:

Selected as a fellow from a competitive applicant pool of graduate students and community organizations.

— Originated and organized a working group of Chicago-area multi-faith prison chaplains, clergy, legal scholars, and re-entry professionals to discuss navigating the law and building a holistic culture of care for those incarcerated and reentering society.

— Wrote accessible and stimulating curricula, recruited a dozen participants, and established a digital hub with resources and guidance for replicating the group’s format.
